We’ve been having lots of fun in our new cat garden and we’ve even made a new friend! He’s a little odd as he’s purple and quite plastic-y but we still think he’s great fun to play with! Even Robbie has spent time playing with him….
Here’s some photos so you can see what we mean 🙂
All we need now is a name for him – any suggestions? 😆
I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend? We’ve had a lovely day today! I’ve been playing with Robbie in the field, though the cows have gone to a different field now, so there’s no-one for me to tease! Oh well, such is life 😆
But my mummy and daddy have been very busy indeed over the last few days as they’ve been making our cat enclosure! We need this to stop Lula wandering too far and getting into trouble. So I thought I’d share with you a pictorial record from start to finish over the next two or three blog entries 🙂 Here goes!
That’s all for now, part two will be on your screens soon! 😆
As you may already know, my mummy and daddy are building us a cat enclosure! Although where we live is safe for most cats, Lula is a little bit too adventurous and wanders just a little bit too far which worries my mummy and daddy too much!
So they’ve decided to build an enclosure for us which will also link to the garage and an indoor cat activity centre when finished!
Much of the outdoor bit will be covered in different plants so we will have lots of areas to play in and hide from each other and play games. We will also have plants that attract flies and bugs so we will be able to carry on playing our favourite hobby of fly-catching!
The plants have all been bought, so we’ve been checking them out! 🙂
We will keep you all updated of the progress of our enclosure and of course post more pics!
I have been so busy lately, watching the Olympics on the TV… I can’t decide which is my favourite sport, there are so many to choose from! But on reflection I think things like football or tennis are very good – I have no idea of the rules, but it’s very exciting to chase the ball with my paws 🙂
We’ve also been having summer weather recently which has meant that we’ve had lots of opportunity to get outside and enjoy the garden without getting too wet!
One of our favourite haunts in the garden is around the fish pond, as you can see from these pics!
Our Harry cat doesn’t like the pond much, but we couldn’t leave him out! 🙂
We’ve been watching the TV quite a lot tonight… they’re talking a lot about the Olympic Games as they finally begin tomorrow! I think this means there’ll be lots of sport for us to watch on the TV – we like watching sport and wildlife programmes, they’re our favourites 🙂
At least we’ll have nice weather for the games… or for the start of them at least! It’s been quite nice here over the last few days, just like summer should be in fact 😆 We like to cool down by sitting near the pond and watching the fish. Occasionally I even like to have a drink of vintage pond water 😀
We are so excited as tomorrow is not only Caturday, but it’s a special cat show Caturday!
It is quite a long way to travel for us, so we’re having an early night tonight which got me to thinking about one of our favourite sleeping spots which some of you may remember. It is of course the bit of the sofa that we all sleep on so much, it is almost always completely squashed down! It won’t win any awards in an interior design magazine, but us cats love it!
Here’s a few pics of us making the most of it:
So I think it’s about time we went to sleep now, so I’ll speak to you soon and let you know how we got on at the show!
My mummy is very excited… she ordered a new camera only on Sunday and it arrived yesterday! She said that Daddy’s camera is very good, but it is so advanced that she doesn’t know how best to use it (plus I think she’s also scared she might break it, but she didn’t tell Daddy that, so please don’t tell him, will you?) 🙂
Anyway, what this means of course, is that we’ll have twice as many piccies taken of us, what with both Mummy and Daddy clicking away 😆 It’s a good job we don’t mind, isn’t it?
My mummy is also thinking of maybe going on a Beginner’s Digital Photography course… our neighbour also got a new camera today (there must be something in the water :D) and she is thinking of going on a course at the local college so Mummy kind of invited herself along 🙂
But here are some of Mummy’s first attempts at taking pics with her new camera! I think she might do better if she actually read the instructions, but I know what you hoomins are like, you never do things like that properly!
Do you like mummy’s pictures? Or do you think she should stick with the day job? MOL!!
I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend! I can’t believe how quickly the time is flying by – it’ll soon be time for our next cat show which is only just over a week away now! And after that, only two short weeks until the Bengal Cat Club show, we’re really looking forward to that one – the competition will be very tough though! 🙂
I’m talking about the rain again today… I wouldn’t usually be so obsessed with it, but my mummy told me that summer was meant to be nice weather! I was only a baby last summer, so I was hoping to do lots of sunbathing this year, but we have had so much rain it has been impossible! It seems to have been raining since May 😯
But it does mean my daddy can get some quite nice pics – here are a few of my favourite ones:
I know I talk about the weather a lot on here, but it is something of a British obsession 😆 But we really can’t get our heads around this “summer”!
We are in July now, and it is still raining! Can you believe it?
We do like to get out when we can and, as you know, one of our favourite activities is to climb the oak tree in our garden 🙂 So I thought I’d share with you some pictures of us taken up there! I hope you like them.
Personally, I’ve gone off climbing up the tree recently, and have decided I quite like walking along the top of the fence instead!
