We’re all in a kerfuffle!

Hello my friends, Spot here!

I’ve always wanted to use the word “kerfuffle” in a blog post and I managed to do so in the title today – what a great little word, don’t you think? Anyway, you might be wondering what’s going on? Well, it’s been a strange day today…. first of all the hoomins fiddled with the clocks last night but of course didn’t tell our tummies what they were doing, so our food times were all over the place! We were not impressed by that! As cats, we love routine and don’t welcome changes, so I hope they don’t do that again!

Secondly, we had a very strange man come to our house! You may remember when Lula and I went up the chimney when we were younger? We got told off for doing that and were made to have not one, but TWO baths! 😯 Each! 😯 Whilst we love playing in water normally, we didn’t appreciate that and were not happy bunnies at all!

Hurrumph too!

Anyway, I digress – this man came along today, a complete stranger and went to our chimney and pushed up lots of brushes and things and didn’t get told off by the hoomins 😯 Then, as if that wasn’t bad enough, my mummy gave him some money and then he got back in his van and drove away! He wasn’t even made to have a bath even though his hands were quite dirty! I really don’t think that’s fair at all.

So we decided to hang out in the cat garden but it’s been so windy today! I decided to keep my eye on everyone to make sure they were ok

Keeping watch

Lula found lots of fallen leaves to chase

Lovely leaves!

Spike decided to hang out in his hammock. He’s decided that it’s his hammock now; Lula can visit when he allows her to 😉

Chillin’ in the hammock

Annie just ran around being silly (like normal)

These grasses are such fun!

So that was that….a strange day when all was said and done, but at least I still managed to have lots of my favourite chicken treats this evening. I think my mummy was feeling guilty about not making that man take a bath! 😆

Take care my friends!

Love from Spot

  1. Wow! Spot…..you got a chimney sweep man to come on a Sunday??? £££££££££ mega dosh… No wonder he didn’t wash his hands. 😀 Still, if you go up there again, you won’t get quite so dirty now 😉

    1. I’m not sure how much money my mummy gave him, Mairi, but I bet I could have bought quite a few chicken treats with it! And that’s a great idea! I might have to investigate the chimney again and show Annie and Spike what it’s like too!  xxx

  2. I’m not surprised that strange man didn’t have a bath Spot. I wouldn’t let a stranger take a bath in my house either! We’ll be fiddling with our clocks next week and that will, no doubt, confused my kitties lol. Lovely photos, thanks for the great blog post! ♥♥♥♥

    1. You hoomins need to leave the clocks alone, or at least make sure we get our dinner on time and not make us wait for it 😈 xxx

  3. Oh Spot you are funny……I love the pic of you and Lula after your baths 😀 What a dirty man not having a bath ! didn’t he even wash his hands ? 👿 Mummy must have paid him to go away!! It’s good to see you all getting along in the cat garden 🙂 xxx

    1. I think he did clean his hands, Diane, but they were still quite black afterwards and we were made to have full baths and not just have our paws washed! So he should have have done more cleaning than just his paws! 🙂 xxx

  4. Spot,

I want to let you know that man had his bath when he got home. You just didn’t see it.

Glad you got out in the yard and looked out for everyone.

    Have a wonderful week!

    Sampson

  5. Awww Spot you are so good to take care of your siblings and to keep an eye out for the dirty man climbing in “your” chimney 😯 . Oh dear good he didn´t fall into it. Could´ve been problems in that case 🙄 . Well maybe better you don´t show Spike and Annie the chimney, because I think they can come up with those kind of things themselves… Don´t you think??? 😆

  6. Hey Spotty! 🙂 That’s alright, mummy did give you a lot of chicken treats after all… As for Spikey, well… good job in gaining ownership of the hammock! 😀 Annie, oh well. you’re too cute to be silly 🙂 Lula, did you really allow Spike to own that hammock? That’s rather too kind of you!

God bless and hugs to all members of the Bengal World 🙂

  7. Thanks for the funny blog Spot! Poor Lula having to visit her hammock! The kittens are very cute though. You two didn’t look impressed after your baths! xx
