Our cat show results and pics

Hello my friends, Spot here!

Wow! What a good day we had at the show yesterday! Mummy was very proud of us as, not only did we do well in our classes, but we were also quite well behaved! πŸ™‚ Β Here I am looking really quite chilled in my pen:

Zzzzzz…..

So, how did the day go? We got up really early, it was still very dark outside, and we were wondering if we couldn’t have just a bit longer in bed! But mummy said we couldn’t as we were picking up mummy’s friend, Alex, and her cat, Daisy, on the way and we weren’t allowed to be late! So we were on time at her house, and we all made our way to the show which was in Warwickshire πŸ™‚

When we arrived, we all passed our vet checks with flying colours and mummy got our pens ready for us. She settled us in and we were ready for the judging to begin! If you want more info on how shows work, there’s a tab at the top of the page ^^ you can click on which tells you lots more details.

Lula’s already a Grand Premier cat, so she was competing for her first Imperial certificate at this show, and the good news is that she got it!

Lula now needs 4 more Imperial certificates (from different judges) to be an Imperial Grand Premier cat πŸ™‚ You’ll see also in the pic that she beat all the other snow Bengals to win Best of Breed too! She is a clever girl!

I’m a little behind Lula with earning my titles, and I’m only a Premier cat, so I was trying to get my first Grand Premier certificate. You need 3 of these (from different judges) to earn the title, and I didn’t get anywhere in my Grand class the last time I tried πŸ™

I did better this time, though I still didn’t get the certificate, but I got the Reserve certificate, which effectively means I came 2nd. Mummy was very proud of this though as it was my grand-dad, Sabu, who beat me and who got the Grand, but I still beat other great cats to earn the Reserve.

You’ll see in the photo that I won Best of Breed. It’s a bit funny with cat shows because, although Sabu beat me to the Grand certificate, it was a different judge for the Best of Breed class, and she placed me above Sabu! So we were both winners which was nice! πŸ™‚ Here’s a pic of Sabu:

So those were the most important bits, but we were also entered into three side or miscellaneous classes. These are just a bit of fun really and don’t count towards any titles πŸ™‚

Mummy usually tries to put Lula and me in separate side classes, but this time she put us both in the same one for one of our three. And I am very proud to announce that I came 2nd and Lula came 3rd! So I beat her for once – YAY!! πŸ˜†

I came 1st and 3rd in my other two side classes, whereas Lula got a 2nd and an unplaced! So it wasn’t Lula’s day in that department but she told me she doesn’t care as she got her Imperial certificate – ooooh! She’ll be milking that one for days, I tell you! πŸ˜†

We all had a lovely day, but we were glad to get home – mummy made us a special tea, and also for Harry, Robbie and Friday as they had been very good waiting for us at home all day πŸ™‚ We then had a really nice sleep and a long lie in πŸ™‚

Take care my friends!

Love from Spot xxxx

So very pawsome and proud of both of you!!! Gratz to Lula for getting her first Imperial certification., and gratz to both of you for all the awards you won!!! You are both two beautiful babies, and I bet Meowmie and Daddy are very proud of you!! Keep up the great work!!! You’ll ALWAYS be Grand Premiers in my heart (including Robbie, Friday and Harry). love, prayers, kitty kisses and head bonks for all!!!

    1. Thank you very much, Diane and gang! Mummy and Daddy are very proud, Lula especially has done very well to get to where she is at her age, and it was a very firm judge with very high standards who awarded her the Imperial certificate, so that makes it even better xxx

  2. Congrats to both of you on the wins. And as far as Sabu being your grandfather he is still very handsome. =)

    1. Yes, he is a handsome fella, Chrisitna! Our breeder, Sue, owns him – she said she’s thinking of bring my cat daddy, Harley, to the next show! That would be good as we’ve not seen him for ages πŸ™‚ xx

  3. Congratulations to both you and Lula Spot and, more specifically, to Mummy, for getting you up in time to get there! Those are some stunning rosettes that you both collected.

I’m sure Robbie, Friday and Harry enjoyed their special tea when you got home just as much as you did and I imagine the whole family enjoyed the lie-in the next day! πŸ˜€ x x

    1. Thanks, Heather! Mummy is quite good at getting up early for shows, though she says she does like her sleep ha ha! We love our rosettes, though we ran out of room to display them all a long time ago πŸ˜† And yes, we loved having a lie in on Sunday – I think mummy more than anyone as both Lula and I did have quite long catnaps at the show πŸ™‚ xxx
