We’ve been so naughty!

Hello my friends!

Oh dear! Those of you who follow my Facebook and/or Twitter pages will know that Lula and I have been very naughty recently! Yesterday, mummy got home from work and had to do a double take as she thought I was looking very odd! My fur was very dark – you couldn’t make out any of the lighter bits and I was also behaving quite sheepishly, too.

She then looked at Lula and noticed that she had black marks in her fur too, though not as bad as mine (which is a good job being as she is a Snow Bengal!). So mummy had a look around and realised that while she’d been out, we’d been up the chimney! 😯 Not only were we filthy, but so were the cream carpet and some of the sofas and chairs – eeek!

Mummy didn’t even stop to make herself a cup of tea as she normally does when she gets in from work – it was straight upstairs with us two and into the bathtub! The only problem was that she didn’t have any proper cat shampoo – only a “non-rinse” one which you can use as a spot cleaner. And no, I don’t mean me – I mean one that you can use without doing a full bath πŸ˜† You see, she doesn’t really bathe us cats normally, she would only do it if we were really, really dirty. Like we were yesterday in fact.

Here’s some photos of us looking sorry for ourselves after our bath!

Can I go now, please?

Mummy got quite a lot of the soot out of our fur, but not quite all of it, so we are thinking that another bath might be imminent today! Especially as she went out earlier and bought some proper cat shampoo!

So, we devised a cunning plan! It’s been a beautiful day today and we were let outside as soon as mummy got home after going to a funny chap called “the dentist” and buying the shampoo πŸ™‚ Β We therefore decided that if we stay out long enough, mummy will forget all about her need to wash us, and then we’ll just have our tea and settle down for our cat naps this evening!

So here’s a little of what we’ve been up to today outside!

I’ve been hiding in the foliage around the pond…

Bengal Cat Blog Photo
Can you see me?

….. And Lula’s been trying to hide in the tree!

Bengal Cat Blog Photo
Mummy won’t see me here!

Do you think our plan will be successful and we’ll get out of having another bath? I hope so πŸ˜€

Great day for play!

Hello all my friends! We’ve had quite a lot of new subscribers over the last week or two and it makes me very happy that people like reading our blog and looking at our photos! Welcome to you all πŸ™‚

We have had such mixed weather here recently, but my mummy tells me that this is what British summers are normally like, so I suppose I had better get used to it πŸ˜† I was only a little baby for most of last summer, so I can’t really remember much of it πŸ™‚

But today has been one of the nicer days, so Lula and I got out into the field and had a fantastic run around! This photo has got quite a lot of zoom on it, we were quite a distance from our garden!

Bengal Cat Blog Photo
Let’s see how fast we can go!

Robbie saw the fun we were having and when we got back to being a bit closer to our own territory, he decided to come and join us. At first, Lula didn’t recognise who he was as he kind of crept up on us without us noticing, so you can see how she bushed all her fur up – see how thick her tail is! Us cats do this if we’re a little frightened or threatened by something as it makes us look bigger and more scary!

Bengal Cat Blog Photo
Ooohhh – you made me jump!

But we then had a lovely play together πŸ™‚

Bengal Cat Blog Photo
Let’s play “piggy in the middle”!

Bengal Cat Blog Photo
Lula refused to play that game… she said she wasn’t a piggy!

But after a while, Robbie decided it was time for his cat-nap so we made sure we stayed behind and guarded the field…

Bengal Cat Blog Photo
Let’s keep a good look-out!

But we’re quite peckish now after all that activity, so I think we’ll be going in soon to find out what’s for tea!

Take care everyone and I’ll be back again soon! πŸ™‚

Making the most of it

Good afternoon everybody and welcome to my blog πŸ™‚

Well, the weekend is nearly upon us and normally my mummy would be really excited by that because it would mean that she’d have time to relax and not be at that funny place called “work”. But it’s a little different this week as she’s been on holiday from work, so that means that going back to work is now getting ever closer!

But she told me that she had loved having a week off and spending it with all us cats, and who could blame her? πŸ˜†

She hasn’t had great weather for her time off either, we’ve had lots of rain showers so she’s not been able to get outside much. Us cats have to take our chances whenever we can for a good play and run around as well. Although us Bengals don’t mind getting wet, we do prefer it when it’s dry as it’s so much easier to play πŸ™‚

So in between the rain showers, we’ve been up to our usual tricks…

But I think Robbie has the best idea – he just finds a sheltered spot (not me MOL) and watches the world go by from there…..

Look at those two silly cats doing all those silly things!

Chillin’…..

I think sometimes perhaps we should be a bit more chilled out like our Robbie cat…. we’d certainly save a bit of energy πŸ˜€

Uh oh!

Bengal Cat Blog Photo
I can see a bug!

Hello my lovely readers πŸ™‚

For those of you who’ve read my blog before, you’ll know that the innocent-looking cat in the photo above is my twin sister, Lula. Β I say that she looks innocent, because there is a definite naughty glint in those baby-blue eyes! I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but in the picture above is a little bug – one of Lula’s hobbies is chasing bugs and flies.

Mmmm… there’s nothing wrong with that, is there? Of course not – just like there isn’t anything wrong with any of her other hobbies either! These include:

Climbing trees

It's lovely up here!

Come out wherever you are!

But she was really very naughty earlier on today! Much naughtier than anything she has done before…

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about an incident where Lula went into next door’s garage and hid behind some boxes and wouldn’t come out… Well today she went one step further ! Our neighbour, Jill, was sorting out some things in her garden and had left her back door open. When she went back indoors, who should she see sitting calmly on her sofa, licking her paws?? Yes – you’ve guessed it, it was Lula!!

Mind you, Lula got scared as soon as she saw Jill (though she isn’t a scary person!) so Jill came over to our house and asked mummy to come and rescue her (again!) as she didn’t want to stress her out!

I don’t know what I’m going to do with my sister sometimes! πŸ˜† What do you good folk think?

Twins: so close

Hello my friends!

I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend, we’ve had a lovely Caturday so far, we’ve been out playing a lot and enjoying the fresh air! We are very lucky because not far away from where we live, they’ve had torrential floods and some people have had to be evacuated from their homes – eek!

We’ve come back indoors now because the weather is getting a little more cloudy, so Lula’s gone to the top of the cat tree for a cat-nap and I thought I’d share with my lovely friends my latest thoughts and pictures πŸ™‚

As many of you will know, Lula and I are twins – we may not look the same, but there were only the two of us in our litter – so this makes us especially close. Β We count ourselves very lucky that our mummy and daddy were wanting to buy two Bengals at the same time when they were looking for new additions to their cat family, this means we didn’t get split up like so many other brothers and sisters do.

We get on with all the other cats in our house, but there is nothing as strong as the bond between us two. We are almost always within sight of each other, and if I can’t see Lula I will miaow very loudly until she comes running. Lula does the same if she can’t see me πŸ™‚

Here are some photos so you can see what I mean!

I’m not sure what that birdie thing is doing in the pond! Daddy got it in France when he was there recently, and he seems quite attached to it! Each to their own!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend πŸ˜†

New type of plant?

Oooohhh… I am getting a little frustrated with the British summer! I am thinking of emigrating – can anyone recommend anywhere nice?!

All of my lovely readers will know how much we like to get out and about and run around outside… But we’ve hardly had a chance to do this recently, there has just been so much rain! Of course, it makes the garden look pretty, and saves on mummy & daddy’s water bill – but it’s just no good for us fun-loving felines!

There is one place we can go to, though, when the weather’s not great – where we can keep warm and dry but still feel like we’re outside… and that is the greenhouse! Why is it called a “greenhouse” though? I’m puzzled as it doesn’t look all that green, more kind of see-through πŸ˜†

As you can see from these pics, I have spent so much time in the greenhouse recently, my daddy said he would try and grow me as a new plant! Hurrumph! I’m not sure I like being compared to a plant… perhaps I shouldn’t spend so much time in there after all! πŸ™‚

Hmmm... good viewing point here!

Moo!

Hello there everybody! I hope you are all well πŸ™‚

I bet you can’t guess what today’s post is all about? Only kidding – you guessed it, we’ve been out playing with the cows in our field again πŸ™‚ Well, I say “our” field, it actually belongs to a farmer, but that doesn’t stop us having a great time in it!

We’ve had very strange weather over our long holiday weekend – one day it’s quite nice, the next it’s raining cats and cats! So we have to make the most of getting out and about when we can πŸ™‚ Β When we saw our bovine friends, we thought they looked like they wanted to play!

After a few minutes of play, we decided that the cows had probably had enough, so we came back indoors for a little cat-nap πŸ˜†

We love long weekends!

Hello everyone!

I’m very happy because it’s an extra l-o-n-g weekend here in the UK!! We’ve had not only Caturday and Sunday, but Monday ANDΒ Tuesday are public holiday days too! This is to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee – she’s been on the throne for 60 years. 60 years!! Gosh, I can’t even imagine that amount of years! I think she must be quite bored of doing that job by now πŸ˜†

So, we’ve had a busy weekend so far! We went to the Merseyside Cat Club show yesterday which took place near Liverpool. Lula did very well! Β She came first in her breed class and also got first place in both of her side classes! Here she is in her pen:

Bengal Cat Blog Photo
Lula taking it in her stride

And here’sΒ her breed class rosette:

1st Place!

She also, more importantly, got her third Premier Certificate which means she can now claim the title of Premier Cat (please see my cat show corner page if you want an explanation of these things!).

We have to get in touch with the GCCF now to make it all official, and then in future shows she can try and get to Grand Premier! Here’s all of her Premier Certificates:

Bengal Cat Blog Photo
Isn't she a clever girl?

Mummy also entered us both into a special Diamond Jubilee class – but there were also 18 other cats entered of different breeds, and they only awarded first place which went to another cat. Oh well!

I didn’t have such a good show as Lula. I came second in my breed class. I was beaten by a very nice cat who was at his first show! But he was lovely, so I don’t mind that he came in front of me πŸ™‚ I did get a rosette of my own for 2nd place though:

Bengal Cat Blog photo
2nd place ain't so bad!

I then got a first place in one of my side classes (Yay!!) and a 4th place in my other one (boo!!).

Here’s me behaving in my pen πŸ™‚

Chillin'

Being as I didn’t get my Premier Certificate, I’ve still got to get two more from two different judges before I can call myself a Premier Cat like Lula! But mummy has a cunning plan!! The next show we are going to is two-shows-in-one! This happens from time-to-time, but it basically means I have two chances at the next show of getting a PC which will get me to Premier Cat if I get them πŸ™‚

But that’s not for a few weeks yet, so in the meantime, we’ll just carry on playing in the field and running around in the garden like the pet cats that we really are πŸ˜‰

Well, I’m going to go and eat my jubilee tea now! Speak again soon πŸ™‚

Fun in the field :)

Hello all my friends!

I hope you enjoy looking at my photos and reading about my adventures! If you have any comments or suggestions, just let me know by either commenting or by using the “contact me” page!

But anyway, I wanted to share with you today the fun Lula and I had in the field yesterday! As you know, we love the field behind our house – we tease the cows that live in there, we have loads of room to run around in, or sometimes we just sit and chill πŸ˜†

Yesterday, though, it was a “running around like loonies” day MOL πŸ™‚ And here are the photos for you to share in our enjoyment!

I thought I’d write about Lula again today… it’s been such lovely weather here in the UK for the past few days, perfect for getting out and about and enjoying some outdoor activity πŸ™‚

As you know, I love to climb, but Lula does too! So here she is in various stages of climbing our favourite oak tree which is at the bottom of our garden – we are so lucky to have it, we just love going up and down it several times a day!
