Toadally good day! :)

Hello my friends, Spot here!

Lula and I had a toadally good treat today! We were hopping and jumping for joy! 🙂 I bet you’re wondering why I’m talking like this? Here’s a clue….

So here’s what happened … Lula and I were chillin’ out in the cat garden when we thought we saw out of the corner of our eye something moving in our grasses! We looked at each other and back at the grass and decided we must have imagined it… but then it happened again, so we had to go and investigate! It meant being stealthy and quiet (not one of Lula’s strong points, but she did it ok. Sort of 😉 )

Almost being stealthy in the cat grass…!

And there it was! A toad in our cat garden! We hardly get any visitors so we made sure we checked him out and chased him in and out of the grass! He kept trying to get away from us, but he didn’t get very far! Pretty soon, my mummy realised something was going on and came to see what we were doing… and then went away again! That meant more time for us to talk to toady! 🙂

But pretty soon she came back with daddy who picked toady up and took him away! What a spoily-sport! He asked my mummy why she didn’t rescue toady, she said she couldn’t be picking him up – what a scaredy cat she is! 😆

Soon after that, mummy said she was going off to see the kittens yet again, so Lula and I had a play fight, which I of course won, despite appearances to the contrary …

I’m just letting Lula think she’s on top…

Then, mummy came home and showed us a couple of photos, though I was more interested to know where toady was!

Unfortunately, toady was nowhere to be seen, so it was time for my favourite tuna tea and then a nice catnap… What a purrfect day! 🙂

Take care my friends!
Love from Spot

  1. What excitement Spotty cat. Sorry that Mr Toad escaped (thanks to Daddy) but I’m afraid I’d have done the same!! I know you said that you won the ‘fight’ with Lula but I have a sneaky suspicion that someone is telling porkies, oh dear, not a good example to set the new kitty, you must do better Spot!. You’ll be getting excited now thinking of your new brother, I hope you’ll be nice to him. We had a sky that shouted at us today but it didn’t last long, you wouldn’t have liked it! Be good, love you all xxxxxxx ♥ ♥

    1. It’s all a matter of perspective, Edna 😎 In my eyes I won 😆 😆 We had lovely weather all day – no shouty skies or anything! 🙂 xxxxxxx

      1. Our shouty sky didn’t last long thank goodness, I thought of you and hoped you hadn’t had any thunder. Night night all xxxxxxxx ♥ ♥

  2. Toadally brill day for you! Bet mummy enjoyed seeing the kittens……is that another new wee family? 😀 not long now till Spikey boy comes….. is it? 😀 😀

    1. Yes, this is another of Sue’s queens who had her litter a few days ago 🙂 Spike comes home in just under two weeks! 😀 😀 xxx

  3. I’m with mummy on the toady situation. I’d have to fetch Mr. P to move toady along. Just like he did with the turtle and the tree frog and, and and all the other stuff that shows up in the yard 😀

Llary tells me that toads don’t taste good though, so it’s a good thing you didn’t have a nibble! ♥

    1. We did have a lick, June, and didn’t much like the taste! 🙂 🙂 xxxx

  4. Wonderful blog. I agree with your Mummy about the Toad.. Urghhhh I don’t like the way they feel. Nice to see the kitten’s included, akso beautiful Skye ♡ x

  5. Awww you´ve really had a lovely day. I´m not sure anymore if I´d pick a doady up, but when I was younger, that was no trouble bec I picked everything my brother picked up 😉 . Well I guess that´s why you´re having brothers 😉 😆 Thanks for all of your lovely pics! <3

    1. Thank you, Betta! 🙂 My mummy said why should she have to pick it up? That’s what daddies are for! 😆 xxxxx

  6. lovely post!! I am sorry I didn’t get to see the post of where you are getting Spike instead of Annie. . .I have been really busy — working 6 days per week now, plus my son working as well. . .I have gotten behind on stuff — needless to say!! luv BCW bunches and bunches. . . can’t wait to see the new arrival — and your garden expansion!! <3

      1. Mr Toady was a great plaything, Diane – it’s a shame daddy took him away! We hope you are ok and not working too hard <3 <3   xxx

    1. I’m not sure, Anyah, as my daddy took him away before we were properly introduced! 😯 😈 xxxx
