Study of a Snow Bengal

Hello my friends, Spot here!

So September is here and the weather has certainly started to turn autumnal in our World! We need to make the most of the time we can get in our cat garden (though I do quite enjoy a nice cat nap inside too!) and Lula has decided she’s on a one-cat mission to make sure all those bugs get caught before the colder months are really upon us 😯

I don’t think she’s going to quite manage to do that, but I was watching her today and I must admit, I quite like her style! 😆

First of all, she stops dead still when she thinks she’s seen something…

Standing completely still

Then she bends down a little for a closer look…

Snow Bengal Cat
What have you seen, Lula?

Then she gets low so the prey can’t see her (though who is she kidding? She’s not exactly camouflaged, is she? 😆 )

Lula gets down low

A slight turn of the head to weigh up the attack strategy is next

And then she’s off! And so quickly, the camera couldn’t keep up with her! 😯

Snow Bengal Cat
Go Lula, go! 🙂

Then afterwards, time to make sure none of the little bugs are hiding in the grass 🙂

Snow Bengal Cat
Lula will find you, wherever you are! 🙂

Phew! She makes me tired just looking at her! I think I might go for that catnap after all…ZzzzzzZzzzzz 🙂

Take care my friends!

Love from Spot xxxxx

  1. Hey Spot! Love today’s pictures 😀

However, is it me but in the top 2 Lula looks like she’s getting a bit of an “undercarriage”? Will she need to do some sit-ups before winter or am I just seeing things?

    1. You are correct, Victoria 🙂 Lula has got a bit of a tummy on her 😯 She is much more active than me and eats about the same, yet she has a tummy and I am lean – strange isn’t it? 😎 xx

      1. It´s the same with my two babies. Mirrin have a “undercarriage” also, not Selmin. Although Selmin eat a lot more than Mirrin, Mirrin usually go when got a little to eat, Selmin eat as long as I give him. Selmin is also lean like you Spot. Mirrin is round (like me 😎 ). The vet said, “he is too fat”, checked him out and came to the conclusion he was purrfect. 😎 Both of my boys have the same weight about 6,8 kilos but their building is different. Selmin gets slim until summer, rounder until winter. Mirrin is the same all the year around 😀

  2. You go Lula! Make sure you get every last one of those nasty bugs out of your garden. Show them who’s boss! I’m sure you are there for back up Spot. Thanks for the lovely pictures from your day in the garden. Your friend, Linda xxxxx

    1. Hello Linda! I think we will getting more daddy long legs bugs soon, Lula is looking forward to those <3 😆 xxx

  3. If Lula fancies some daddy long legs tell her to pack her suitcase and come up here, I’ve loads lol. Who’s heavier Spot, you or Lula? It’s hard to tell from photos but Lula looks heavier (but still as beautiful as ever!) xx ♥ ♥

    1. I’ll let her know, Edna 🙂 The last time we were weighed, about 4 months ago, we weighed exactly the same – 4.8 kg! We due to be re-weighed soon, so it will be interesting to see if that’s changed 😉 xx

  4. another one to make me LMAO!!! but so, so cute!! loved the ‘joke’ about the catmoflauge!! Lula is just absolutely gorgeous — as are all of you at BCW! It so makes me wish I was close enough to come over for cuddles and kitty kisses!! Have a blessed, pawsome weekend BCW!! love and prayers. . . <3 <3 <3

      1. it has been somewhat chilly here at nights lately, and I have been getting lots of cuddles from my kids when I go to sleep!! 🙂 My live, warm blankies are wonderful at night — well, in my case, early morning! 😀 I just love my kitties sleeping with me, and purring me to sleep!! I even have one (Miss Tabby) who gives me a massage every night! I think they’ve got me wrapped around their paws!!

  5. Awww lovely Lula! Of course the bugs couldn´t see you when standing that still 😛 . How could Spot think they´d see you then 😯 . You are a really good hunter (so I believe Spot is of course) and I don´t think you did let any bugs get away 😉 Keep on hunting Lula so all of the bugs are away when snow and cold comes

    1. It’s getting quite a bit chillier now, Betta, we need to get those bugs while we can 😉 🙂 xxx

      1. So true about that! I just wish you good hunting luck! 😉 I think you Spot also are very good hunting down the bugs, so just show them who´s the king 😛
