Seven Favourite Show Pics

Hello my friends, Spot here!

Our Lula is getting excited! She’s had all her pre-show preparations (which she wasn’t too keen on as she quite likes rolling around in dirt and wet grass) and she’s now ready for the cat show tomorrow!

This particular show – the Tabby Cat Club Show – holds a special place in our hearts, because it was the very first show either of us went to, and the first where mummy went as an exhibitor! That was back in 2011 when Lula was a kitten so this year will be her 3rd time going 🙂

We thought we’d mark this special occasion with just a few of our favourite show pics! And where better to start but with Lula’s first show that we’ve already talked about! Lula was about 5 months old here, and took it all in her stride!

So the next show was about a month after this one, and mummy thought it would be my turn! So Lula stayed at home while I went to the Ocicat & Bengal Cat Club show…. And wow! My mummy was so proud as I won Best Kitten in Show! Quite an achievement for my first attempt, and bearing in mind I was competing against so many wonderful other Bengal cats! 🙂

The next big milestone was then the pinnacle of our show calendar – the Supreme Cat Show! Lula was entered into this and came first in her class and 3rd in a Special Kitten Class which had over 80 entries of all breeds! This show is different to all the others, as our hoomins are allowed to decorate our pens, and not stick to the normal show whites.

We went to a few more shows after that and then in the summer of 2012 we went to our first double show. This is where I earned my final Premier certificate to earn the title of Premier cat and Lula earned her final Grand Premier certificate!

The next stop on our show calendar in 2012 was our very first attendance at the Bengal Cat Club show! And what a show it was for Lula! Not only did she win her title class and best of breed, but she also won all but one of her side classes and was called into the Best in Show pens as she was judged to be Best Female Neuter! Then it got interesting as our Uncle BooBoo was Best Male Neuter and the judge had to decide who was overall Best Neuter and gave it to….LULA! We were so shocked but so happy and our friend Alex who is Uncle BooBoo’s mummy was so pleased for us too! Just as we would have been if BooBoo had won 🙂

Our next key milestone after that was back to the Tabby Cat Club show where Lula was now competing for her Imperial certificate… and she achieved it! She took it all in her stride though 😉

A few more shows passed, where we both earned further certificates and bests of breed etc, but for our last pic, I wanted to show you one of my favourite pics of all! This was another double show in April 2013 where we met our friend Zoe which was fantastic, and she brought us good luck because we both had fantastic results! I did slightly better than Lula because not only did I earn my title certificates and best of breed, but I was also judged to be Best Foreign Neuter in Show! I had so many pretty rosettes too!

So there we have it… it was hard to choose a few of our favourites because there have been so many great moments, but we hope you enjoyed reminiscing with us!

Take care my friends!
Love from Spot xxxxx

  1. Nice to see some show history! The very last pic is one of my favourites, I think I still have it on my wall and I called it Rosette Heaven ♥ Now I also really like the very first pick, upside down Lula!! Awesome pics, thanks so much for sharing 😀

  2. Oh, Spot – I love the one of you behind all of your rosettes :).

Henry and Newt have crossed paws for tomorrow!

  3. Spot and Lula, what a great walk with you through some of your many cat shows! I am certainly no judge, but I think you are the best and you will sail right through upcoming shows! Mummy must put in a lot of time scrubbing and fluffing and brushing you two before these shows. Best of luck to you and can’t wait to see your ribbons!! Your friend, Linda xxxxx

    1. Thanks, Linda! It’s not too bad getting us ready as we are usually quite clean – the worst thing is trimming our claws which you have to do so we don’t accidentally scratch the judges 😉 Of course, I am a good boy and I don’t shout … well not much anyway 😈 Lula on the other hand??? She shouts so loud and wriggles too! It takes much longer than it needs to 😀 xxx

  4. Well deserved Spot you 2 are beautiful Bengals , brilliant pics …Mummy &Daddy must be so proud of you <3 <3 xxx

  5. Your Mummy and Daddy must be very proud of both of you. Of course we, your followers at BCW, knew you were special and basked in your reflected glory.
