Hello my friends, Spot here!
Wow! What a Caturday we had – we hope you’ve had a lovely weekend too! π
We know many of you will have seen a pic and brief update from our show yesterday on our FB page, but I thought I’d give you a few more details of the day and the full show results π
The show we went to was one of the furthest we’d consider travelling to, about a 2.5 hour journey each way. We are exceptionally good travellers, but mummy and daddy don’t think it’s fair to go too far with us π So it was an early alarm call at 4-something-o’clock! That was a bit of a shock to the system, though on the positive side, the moon was looking very pretty π
And it was a bit different to the last show, when we woke up to this:
The weather was much better this time, so once mummy got our carriers ready, we jumped in all by ourselves (not joking there, we don’t mind them at all) and made our way to the show, picking our friend, Alex, up on the way π
Once there, we passed our vet check, and went to find our pens – I was in pen 365 and Lula in 370. Mummy and Alex cleaned our pens with the wipes I showed you in my last blog post, and put all our show stuff in before settling us down. Along with Daddy, they stayed with us for as long as they were allowed to before the judging began. I took the opportunity to have a nice cat nap π
Then the morning judging began which is for the most important classes, Titles and Best of Breed π This time we had 2 of everything as it was a double show – so there were 2 chances to earn these things. I needed 2 Grand Premier certificates and Lula needed one Imperial to earn our titles, and the great news is that those are what we got! I also got Best of Breed in both shows and Lula got it in one of the shows π We’re in different breed classes because I’m a brown and she’s a snow π
Then it was lunchtime already and all our hoomin friends were allowed back to see us π They gave us lots of treats and fuss for doing so well! π Bit embarrassing really, but you know what these proud parents are like, I’m sure π
We were also really happy to see our lovely friend, Zoe! She’d made a special trip to come and see us and brought us lots of nice presents, though we’re not allowed to open our birthday ones yet π
We were able to relax though even with all that going on and Lula made the most of it…
But we still had some more classes to be judged – two side classes for each of the two shows, here’s how we did in those:
Spot: I got one first place, two second places and was unplaced in my other class
Lula: She got one first place, one second place (out of 11 entrants), one third place and one unplaced
Because we had both won title certificates and best of breed, we were both in the running for Best in Show judging π And the most magical thing happened when I was judged to be Best in Show Foreign Neuter for one of the shows! This was superb! But it’s not the pinnacle, because the best in show neuter, adult and kitten are then judged against each other for Best in Show Foreign…. and this was given to the Adult! (non-neutered cat). They then went into the Best in Show pens to be judged against all the winners from the Persian, British Shorthair, Oriental etc for Overall Best in Show π
But we were very proud of all that we had achieved and it was more than we could possibly have dreamt of! You may well have seen this pic, but it sums up what a successful day we had π
If you have any questions, just let me know!
Take care my friends!
Love from Spot

So proud of all of you! Glad the judges saw what I see, two lovely cats! You all deserve a big treat. Wish I lived close enough to have a visit.
We would love it if you were able to visit, Carol π
π awesome job Spot and Lula
Thank you very much, Paul π
Well, the judges finally saw what all of your fans here at BCW see every day — the two best kitties in the world π — to all of us anyway!! I am so VERY proud of both of you! One question though, Spot. . . now that Lula has her Imperial Grand Premier, is she going to flaunt it over you saying she’s the Queen!!?? π MOL!!
Gratz on a job well done — and special blessings to Meowmie and Daddy for raising such wonderful kids!!!
Love and prayers to all. . .<3 <3 <3
Thank you, Diane! Lula’s quite chilled out about all really – she just wants the rain to stop so she can go out and dig in the mud for worms and chase some bugs around the garden! π― π xxx
Sounds like a plan!! π
I’m not at all suprised you beautiful kitties won congratulations! Kisses and purrs.
Thanks very much, Rita – sending kisses and head boops right back atcha! π xx
You both did wonderfully well. I’m very proud to be your fan/friend Spot! I won’t pretend I understand all the classes, etc. but I know a fancy rosette when I see one π Just so happens my favourite colour is blue….that Best Foreign rosette and ribbon is a beauty! I think Zoe is still in 7th heaven after being able to pet you. Lucky her! β₯
Aww… it was so nice to meet Zoe and she was very gentle when she stroked me π The classes are quite complicated if you’re not used to them π xxx
I’m so proud of you both! That was an awesome Caturday for sure! π
Thank you, Lisa! We had a great day and hope you’ve had a nice weekend π xx
I was delighted to read your account of your day. Spot, you and Lula are just the most beautiful fur people. So glad to see that the judges thought so too. You are so proud sitting there with all your ribbons on display. Your mum and dad have done a wonderful job rearing the pair of you. π π
Thank you very much, Bethanny! Lula can be a bit loud, it’s a good job the judges don’t take much notice of her π xxx
Congratulations, Spot and Lula! I have been praying that you both would do very well in the shows. You are awsome!!! Your Mummy and Daddy must be so proud of you! I am so blessed to have you as my facebook friends! May the Lord bless you to overflow and beyond! <3 April 28, 2013@2:45 pm PST(Seattle, Wash..) π

Congratulations!!!! Me, Daisy,Yogi and Mummy are so proud of you both, I always knew you would follow in the family pawsteps!!!
You’ve missed out the bit, that I got my Imperial title at the age of 2 years and 3 days which is excellent, and Lula has gone and done it 2 weeks before your 2nd birthday!!! Well done Lula, what an achievement!!!
Lots and lots of Love and purrs

Oh yes, I forgot about that π― She’s done very well to get her Imperial at such a young age π Not bad, I s’pose π xxxxx
Well congratulations to the best of the best!! You two are amazing and all of us are so very proud of you Spot and Lula! What a great way to start off the cat show season. Mummy and Daddy have two fantastic “kids” and it has been fun learning about some of the work that goes into your shows. You had a great weekend! Your friend, Linda
Thank you very much, Linda! π We’ve been back to normal today – Lula’s been trying to dig her way out of the cat garden and getting her paws filthy and I have been a good boy π― π xxxx
Spot, thank you for this narrative on your big day. What a great outcome for both of you beauties. Warmest congratulations. What a long and tiring day but the results show it was all worthwhile. So this is the start of Show season – that means we’ve got plenty to look forward to still and we’ll be seeing more of those lovely rosettes for both of you.
Thanks, Mavis π I have another show in a couple of weeks, Lula’s not going but she will probably go to the one after π xx
Didn’t I tell you you’d do it? Very proud of you both, Spot! Congratulations
