Spotlight on … Robbie

Hello my friends, Spot here!

I hope your weekend has been good? I have tried to be a good boy, but didn’t quite make it … oh well, I never liked that plant anyway 🙂

Today, as you’ve probably already noticed, we’re going to focus on Robbie! Robbie, also known as Bob Bobs or Bobs, was born in August 2009 on a farm in the hills of the Welsh/English borders near a town called Oswestry. Here he is as a baby 🙂

My daddy bought Robbie from the farm, he was the first cat who wasn’t from a rescue charity that my mummy and daddy had. My mummy knew nothing about it, though! She came home from work one day and there was daddy and this little scrap of ginger fur 🙂 My daddy wanted to call him Nobby but mummy didn’t like that, so Robbie was chosen as it is a much nicer name though still sounds similar 🙂

He soon settled in and met Harry who he has been best friends with ever since 🙂

But Friday soon accepted him too, she just accepts any new kitty really easily, and Robbie was no exception…

Spotty tummies, though neither have any Bengal in them 🙂

Robbie loves the great outdoors and likes nothing better than to get a good vantage point in the big oak tree! He can see the hills on the Welsh border from there!

I can see for miles and miles!

But he soon learned that not all is good fun outside, like when he was trying just that bit too hard to catch a fish from the pond in the garden!

We don’t get much snow here, but when we do, Robbie doesn’t seem to mind it, though he is starting to prefer warmer weather as he gets older, and doesn’t spend so much time outdoors when it’s cold nowadays.

Brrrrr! Chilly paws!

So, for Robbie, nothing beats a nice bit of sunshine!

Him and Harry are still firm friends

Though when he’s on his own, he does like to do a spot of yoga! 🙂

I wonder what that position is called?

But at the end of the day, as with all of us, nothing beats a nice snuggly snooze 🙂

Next week we’re going to be having a little break from our Spotlight series as we’ll hopefully be bringing you all the news from the show we’re going to on Caturday! Yay! So tune in for that and also of course in two weeks’ time, we’ll be carrying on putting the Spotlight on another Bengal Cat World puss! 🙂

Take care my friends!

Love from Spot

    1. Most of the time, we all get along great, Jennifer 🙂 We do have a little quarrel now and again 🙂 xx

  1. Beautiful Robbie ♥ Hey Spot I hope your Mummy wasn’t upset about what I said about the plant you accidently on purpose knocked over? Will miss you next week ♥

    1. Hello Vicky! My mummy wasn’t upset 🙂 I will be here next week, I just won’t be doing the next instalment of the Spotlight series 🙂 xx

  2. What a fantastic blog. Love all the photos, especially Robbie as a kitten, he’s so sweet. Love to see him and Harry snuggling up together xx <3 <3

  3. Another great blog Spot. I have to confess, I have a soft spot for ginger kitties, and Roobbie is just a purrfect boy, ginger kitties make awesome friends. Are you going to the show too Spot? xxx

    1. Thank you, Mairi! 🙂 I have semi-retired from shows… I may go back at some point in the future but not yet. 🙂 So it’s just Spike and Annie going to this one 🙂 xxx

  4. Wonderful blog Spot. Lovely to hear Robbie’s history and what a cute baby he was. Can see why Dad fell for him. Such a lovely surprise for your Mum too. Robbie you have grown into such a handsome boy. I do just love you Rangas. We had a beautiful ginger boy when we lived in Kuwait. We adopted him for a family that we’re going back to UK and by a strange co-incidence when I once mentioned him on FB a lady from that family recognised him. Small world.

  5. Awwwww Robbie! I´m in love with you! <3 So much loved to read about how you came in to living with mummy and daddy! You are a beautiful boy! But so are you Spot 😉 Always love reading your blog!

  6. None of my comments are staying on your Facebook page. I’ve left several lovely comments about the various kitties and they post right at first, but have disappeared when I go back to look for them. So I have to come here since Facebook is refusing to work for me. I’ve been having all kinds of trouble with it for a month and a half, but the people in charge of fixing such things appeared terribly blase about fixing it within a timely manner.

My friend, named Robb, likes Robbie kitty. His mom called him that for short. He also thinks Robbie’s a very handsome kitty
