Snow Time!

Hello my friends, Spot here!

I’m sorry I’ve not written for a while, but you may know already that my mummy and daddy have been away on holiday and the cat sitter didn’t let me use the computer while they were gone! What a naughty cat sitter!

But I’m back now which I am so happy about! I have missed chatting to all my friends 🙂 The other thing I’m happy about is all the snow we’ve had! You may remember that I’ve been wanting to see some snow for quite a while now, I’ve not really seen it properly before – other than on the TV 🙂

Here’s some photos of Lula and me playing 🙂

Lula’s wondering why all of her grasses are hidden!

The weather pawcast man said that more snow is on its way, so we should be able to have lots more fun in the snow over the next few days! Have you got any snow where you are?

Take care my friends!

Love from Spot xxxx

  1. Spot! We have snow in Wisconsin, but Bowzer and Zoe are not allowed outside. They are two pretty Abysinnians and not used to the outside world. They might be stolen!! Love to you and all. A special help to Harry 🙂

    1. Hello Paula! Abys are gorgeous cats, I can understand why you keep them safe and sound inside! Love to you all! 🙂 xx

  2. we had about 2 inches a few weeks ago. my puppy loved it, but i don’t like snow and was glad to see it go away. we live in ardmore, oklahoma

    1. Oooh! Oklahoma sounds like a great place to live! My mummy said she doesn’t mind the snow, and might even help us build a snow cat if we get some more, Sandi! 🙂 xx

  3. Hi Spot and Lula,
It’s great to see you back home! I hope you gave your Mummy and Daddy a hard time for abandoning you!!!
I’ve been chasing Yogibear in the snow, we love it!! Daisy says it makes her paws too cold!
    Your loving Uncle BooBoo xxxxx

    1. It sounds like you and Yogi have been having great fun, Uncle BooBoo! Daisy needs to man up – MOL! 🙂 She is a sweetie really xxxx

  4. Hi Spot! Glad to see you and Lula back on the ‘net :-). Enjoy the snow, but remember to stay warm, and also let sweet Friday use your big, comfy bed if she gets cold :-). Henry and Newt say “hello!”.

    1. Thanks, John! Little Friday was very honoured last night – she slept all night long in mummy and daddy’s bed! She was a little wriggler though – going under the quilt, then getting out, then sticking her paw up mummy’s nose, then going under the quilt again! Mummy said the jet lag is bad enough without little Friday making it worse, so I think she will be in our bed tonight! Mummy will warm up her heat pad for her 😉 Hi to Newt and Henry! 🙂 xx

      1. That’s what Newt does (including the paw up the nose trick)! Hope she wasn’t too miffed, and enjoyed the heating pad :).

  5. Hi Spot and all at BCW!

Except for where the snow was piled up, our snow is all gone — for now. We are expecting more of the white stuff over the next couple of days, so we’ll see what happens! I like the snow, but hate the cold that comes with it! My Lilac loves the snow. When we get some, I have to take her out in it! Hope all of you are enjoying the white stuff! But remember to stay safe and warm! Very happy to see BCW back again with more pics and updates!! I missed all of you!

Love, prayers, kitty kisses and head bonks from me and the crew!!

    1. Hello Diane! We missed you all too! We are so pleased to be back and able to talk to you all again 🙂 I have lots of fur to keep me warm in the snow, so I don’t mind the cold! Harry hates it though! He asks to go outside and then when my mummy or daddy open the door, he turns right round and runs back in again! Robbie quite likes it, and Friday is only allowed out for a short time in it as she is very little, and getting quite old now – she will be 15 in a month or so’s time! Love you and all your kitties! 🙂 xxx

  6. No snow here in Australia, Spot. Just heat, lots of rain as I am in the tropics, but people further south from us have had some terrible heat and bushfires. It’s been dreadful for them. Temperatures were in the mid 40’s Celcius. So very, very warm. I envy you with your snowy conditions. I love snow myself, but my hubby hates the cold which is why we live in Far North Queensland. Always warm, sometimes very humid. But pleasant. Hope you all have a great 2013 with lots more stories of you and the rest of BCW to come. Love your page. <3

    1. Thank you, Pam! I have seen on the TV how hot certain parts of Australia have been! It must be very unpleasant for all who live there :O It sounds like you have nice weather most of the time, our weather is very changeable with the seasons 🙂 Thank you for loving our page! 🙂 xxx

  7. Hi Spot! All of the snow I had over Christmas has melted for now, here in Salisbury, Pennsylvania, but we are supposed to get more this weekend. Dixie likes to sit in her window seat and watch it fall, but hasn’t been out in it. Hope you enjoy your snow.

    1. Hello Wilda! I do enjoy the snow, but Lula loves it more! I think she has more resilience against bad weather than I do! 🙂 If you get more snow, you might be able to build a snow cat too? xxxx

  8. Welcome back! Our kitties got their first time in snow this year also. They dont get to go outside except on the patio and mother nature was kind enough to throw a couple inches onto the patio for them to play in. 2 of our 4 were not too impressed with it..it was too cold for them .

    1. Thank you, Chris! It’s funny how different cats react to the snow, isn’t it? Lula absolutely loves it and gets really silly playing in it; I am a bit like that but not as much as Lula; Robbie will go out in it, and doesn’t seem to mind it, but doesn’t really play with it; Friday will go out very briefly in it; and our Harry cat (who is the largest of us all in terms of size) will hardly set a aw on it! Silly boy! 🙂

  9. Finally Spot!!! I´ve missed you and your friends so much. Next time mummy and daddy goes away, tell them to leave the computer at your place so you can talk to us! And please tell mummy and daddy to not hire that cat sitter anymore. Not a good one that don´t let you use the computer ;). We do have a lot of snow. Yesterday it snowed again. It was almost melted away some weeks ago, because it got so warm, but then got colder again so now we have white all around us =). Mirrin and Selmin have learned that this is something that comes every year, but the first 2 years they was amazed when the first snow came =)

    1. I am sorry we weren’t able to talk to you, Elisabeth! I think the cat sitter was very naughty too 🙂 I bet you have lots more snow where you are than we do! Mirrin and Selmin must be quite used to it by now 🙂

  10. oh my, it seems like you guys are having lots of fun… i look forwar receiving your beautiful photos thank you !!! mathilda, mr.mac and susan =^;^=

    1. You are very welcome, Susan! Thank you for your feedback and your comments 🙂 Love to you all! xxxx

  11. You are right that Selmin and Mirrin is used to the snow now. Sometimes I don´t understand why they have to come the way with deep snow, then they have to work a lot to get forward, look like they´re flying, why not take the easy way, where it´s taken away??? =D

  12. Ahaaa! I think you might be right there. I think you can understand them much better than I :D. You are really a smart boy Spot! <3
