Hello my friends, Spot here!
Did you all have a nice Christmas and New Year? I think I must have been a very good boy throughout lastΒ year as I got lots of nice toys and treats from Santa π He didn’t bring me a new pink cushion, so I guess I’ll have to go on sharing the one I have with the little pesky, Annie π But I suppose there are worse things in life, eh?
Talking of being good – or rather of not being good, I’m not sure what’s got into our Spikey lately – he’s been very naughty indeed! It’s like he’s making the most of this time as he thinks Santa will have forgotten all about his antics by next Christmas! π―
He’s always had a bit of a naughty streak, even when he was a kitten you could see he was often plotting something π
So I guess it’s only to be expected that he’d get naughtier once he was in his teenage years π (cat years, that is).
He’s a little wiser than he was when he was younger, though, so he always makes sure that Santa isn’t watching his antics!
And after he checks that Santa isn’t watching he sits and plots… Just like he did when he was a kitten in fact!
And then he does things like sit on top of the cat house, ready to ambush any unsuspecting kitty walking by below! π―
But he did the worst thing of all today. It started off with him just sitting on the platform looking all innocent
But then – quick as a flash – he was at the top of the pole in front of him, then he leapt from the pole onto the wire mesh that goes around all the top of the fencing and over the fence into next door’s garden! He was so quick, the hoomins weren’t able to grab him! (some of you may recall another brown spotty cat doing exactly the same thing a couple of years ago when they were a teenager, and the pole got lowered which seemed to stop that someone. Can’t remember who it was now though π π )
But back to Spike – he was in the neighbours’ garden which was all locked up and they were out so the hoomins couldn’t go and rescue him. After a while, he realised he wasn’t in his own back yard, so he started miaowing. Very loudly.
After trying different things to get him back home, the hoomins then decided to get his dinner ready early and this soon brought him back to the top of the fence where mummy quickly grabbed him and took him to her office (and closed the door) where he could eat his food and not escape again.
Meanwhile, all the rest of us got our dinner early too, so I suppose he wasn’t so naughty after all π
And after all that excitement and a nice dinner, we all had a nice catnap π
Take care my friends!
Love from
Spot

I remember who “That brown spotty cat was”…who jumped the fence when he was a teenager.. π π Hahahaha <3 Looks like Spikey boy takes after his Big Brother.. π― Love you all and, love the story Spot <3 You all are just the greatest kitties π Hugs and tummy rubs to you all!!!! Beautiful pics by the way….You be a good boy Spikey Boy… π You want Santa to bring you lots of prezies next year!! Maybe you will get your new pink cushion "belated" π
Thanks, Debbie π I think I’ve taught Spikey well, but don’t tell the hoomins I said that! π π
Oh my! That was very naughty of Spike. I’d be terrified if I were your mummy π―
He is extremely naughty, June. Unlike me.
Seems to me that Spike is a typical teenager, taking advantage of testing out his climbing and jumping skills at every opportunity. This time fortunately, it was a happy ending but obviously you gotta keep a good watch over that Mr Mischief before he gets himself into real trouble. You must continue to set a good example, Spot, of how a good kitty should behave.
I shall, Mavis π I am a good boy π
