Our favourite soggy moggy shots!

Hello my friends, Spot here!

I hope you’ve all had a nice weekend? 🙂 Many of us in the UK are set to finish ours with a bang as we’re bracing ourselves for a wet and stormy night! So on that theme, I thought I’d share with you some of our soggy moggy photos! But before I do, some of you who aren’t in the UK may not know the term “moggy” – this is a term of endearment for kitties, it’s not known where it comes from but is widely used over here 🙂

So I thought I’d start with our Robbie, after he had an unintentional swim in the pond!

I’ll get that fish another day!

But sometimes we get wet on purpose as Lula and I love to play in the sink! Here we are as kittens 🙂

This is fun!

I don’t mind getting wet feet!

Lula – you check out the sink and I’ll play with the hand wash!

A good alternative to the sink is the water fountain in our cat garden!

I love playing in the water fountain!

But Robbie’s not the only one who leant a little too far to try and catch the fish!

I’ll just stand over here and pretend nothing happened!

I blame Lula – she pushed me in 😉

You would think Lula had fallen in the pond looking at this pic, but no – she had just been out in a heavy rain shower and didn’t want to come in!

Lula – you really should learn how to use an umbrella!

And let’s finish where we started! Here’s a pic after Robbie had fallen in the pond – AGAIN!! Will he never learn? 😯

Silly Robbie 🙂

You may wonder why there are no pics of Harry or Friday? It’s not that we deliberately excluded them, it’s just that we don’t have any pics of them being soggy moggies! They’re much too wise to fall in ponds or play in the fountain! 🙂

Take care my friends!

Love from Spot

  1. At least none of you look like scrawny little drowned rats 😀

Good laughs and great photos as usual. Thanks for sharing ♥

  2. Poor old Robbie! I expected you and Lula to get wet because that’s what bengals do but it’s tragic when moggies do. They look so sorry for themselves and shrink to half their size !

  3. Love all the photos. Lula is a real water baby isn’t she. Spot I seem to remember that Robbie isn’t the only moggie who fell into the pond more than once, didn’t a certain Spotty cat do that too!!!! Poor Robbie, I bet he didn’t enjoy getting soaked xx ♥ ♥

  4. Hahaha!! Funny pictures! I’ll bet you and Lula were a handful when you were babies! Poor Robbie. He really had a chore trying to dry off after that dip in the pond! Love your stories Spot. xxxxx

    1. We’re more of a handful now, Linda 😎 Or so my daddy says, though I don’t always believe him 😈 Thank you for being our friend <3 xxxx

    1. I have fallen in again, but I don’t like to talk about that 😉 There is a deep end and a shallow end, I have been in both 😀 xxxx

  5. Love these pics…lol 😀 I have to say though that I really dislike the term “moggies”…all kitties are special and, I don’t consider any of them “Mutts”… 🙁 Some people use that term just because they’re not purebred or Bengals. ❓ Anyway thank you for the pics…

      1. I’m sorry you don’t like the term, Debbie 🙁 We never use it to imply inferiority – we think it’s a sweet way of describing cats and making them all equal, no matter what their genes <3 But you are of course entitled to your views and I'm sorry if our choice of words was not to your taste <3 xx

  6. Oh my, there´s no difference if all of you are wet or dry… You are as stunning what ever <3 😀 . So happy to see that Robbie also get wet sometimes 😆 He usually just slips by without any extra fuss! 😉 Happy to see him also. Just miss Harry and Friday, but they are "grown ups" and know not to show off when they are wet 😉 😉 😉

      1. By the way I think moggies sounds quite sweet, at first I didn´t know the translation either, but when you told me I think it´s really sweet! 😳 I think so too that our furiends have their moments 😆 . Selmin is good at checking out the bed sheets at least and Mirrin is good by bringing in food for us… 😯 Even if I´m not so found of that kind of food… 😉

  7. Lovely wet cats!!! Some of mine like getting wet also!! Poor Robbie. . . I guess he’ll just keep on trying to get those fishies!! Enjoy!! Keep the fun stories and pics coming!!
    love to all for a blessed, pawsome week!! <3 <3 <3 <3

  8. Hi Spot,as always I love your blogs 🙂 Cali (my oldest Tabby) fell into the laundry tub in the basement, while the washing machine was discharging 😆 talk about an angry tiger stripe 😕 😡
