I’ve been naughty again!

Hello my friends, Spot here!

Brrrrr! It’s still very cold here and mummy and daddy have got a problem with their heating – I’m glad I’ve got a nice fur coat to keep me warm! I heard them say that they might be opening up the fireplace to have a real fire – they’d put some cardboard over the opening after the adventure Lula and I had (OK, so it was more me!) when we heard a birdie up there and went up the chimney when mummy and daddy were out! 🙂 I really don’t know what they made all the fuss about, there’s nothing wrong with black soot all over two Bengal cats and all the cream carpets in the house…. is there??? 🙂

Awww… that was so funny, but guess what? I’ve been naughty again! 😀 A couple of days ago, daddy held the back door open to let Robbie and Harry in, but he didn’t realise I was close to the back door and I ran outside! I ran into the field and had a good run around! My daddy tried to come after me and he ripped his coat on the fence! It was his new winter coat too, I don’t think he was very happy. I’m glad that I don’t have to buy winter coats, I just grow my own! You hoomins have a lot to learn from us felines, you know…..

He still managed to get a couple of photos though! Well…. you wouldn’t expect anything else, would you? 🙂

Hello from the field!

This snow is really deep in the field!

After a while, I came back inside and had a catnap on our cat tree! Daddy even gave me some of my favourite chicken treats a bit later on, so he can’t have been too angry with me 😉

I hope you have a great weekend my friends!

Take care,

  1. Thank you Spot for helping me to end my working week on a laugh!

My cats brought a mouse in yesterday again and then promptly lost it behind a cupboard in the living room. I left them both guarding the cupboard and, when I cam home from work, found the mouse lying on its side on the doormat by the patio doors. Imagine my surprise when I went to pick it up to get rid of the body, only for it to move and try and get away from me! :O

Unfortunately, I think it was in a deep state of shock as it passed away about a minute later. Having spent 11 hours being stalked by two cats, I can imagine it got pretty stressed! 😀

Have a lovely weekend and, if you do go out in the field again, don’t be as naughty as Lula and head for the road!

Stay safe all of you and I hope Mummy & Daddy’s heating is fixed soon 🙂

    1. Hello Heather!

Poor little mousie – if ever I managed to catch one, I don’t know what I would do with it! It would probably escape quite quickly 🙂

I think mummy and daddy have run out of heating oil – the storage tank was showing that it had more in than it actually did have, so hopefully it isn’t difficult to resolve, though the heating oil delivery man is quite busy at the moment I think, so he can’t come round straight away 🙂

Mummy has been out and bought some smokeless coal, and daddy is trying to light the fire, but it keeps going out! It is quite funny 🙂

      Take care! xxxx

  2. Spot you are a naughty, naughty boy! I know exactly how your poor Daddy feels, Aneksi has made her “break for freedom” on several occasions & it makes us hoomans feel really horrid & upset! But as always you fur babies have us wrapped round your little claw & we forgive you immediately. Bad boy Spot. xx

    1. Awww…. I only escaped for a little while, Clare 🙂 To be honest with you, it was a bit chilly and I wanted to get back into the warm! I’m not like Lula, she would have stayed out there for hours! 🙂 xxx

  3. Spot, that is just too funny!! And, as you know, my week just began — 😛 Even though you ‘got out’, Daddy still got lovely pics of you!! I would have still loved to have seen 2 ‘sooty’ cats! — especially a snow bengal!! That had to be hilarious — although I’m sure Meowmie & Daddy were not amused!! MOL!! At least you got some treats in the end. I know I can never stay upset with my kids — speaking of which, it sounds like they just knocked something over — BRB.– I guess not — just ripping and running. . .MOL!! I might scold them by saying, ‘kids!! behave’, but that’s about all I do or maybe an occasional squirt of water. Overall, they are usually pretty good aside from the usual kitty stuff of the running rampages! Nevertheless, they keep me smiling and laughing all the time! I’m sure 4all of you do the same — going by some of the pics!! Have a blessed, pawsome weekend! Love, prayers, kitty kisses and head bonks from me and my ‘crew’! 🙂

    1. Thank you, Diane! I’m sorry you haven’t got your weekend yet, but I bet the time flies with all the fun you have with your kids! 🙂 My mummy didn’t manage to get any pics of us when we were really sooty as the first thing she did when she saw us was take us straight upstairs to the bath! Oooh! I like water as much as the next Bengal, but I’m not sure I wanted a full-on bath! I might go and have a look up the chimney when the fire is out and see if there are any more birdies up there – do you think that would be a good idea? 🙂 xxx

  4. Uh-oh! Well, no harm done (except for your Daddy’s coat, but I’m sure he doesn’t blame you), and you do look like the mighty hunter in that snowy field – quite magnificent! Just make sure to be careful if you ever make another bid for freedom, OK? And do *not* tell Lula :D.

    1. MOL, John! I like that! “The mighty hunter” – I think that I might ask my mummy and my daddy to call me that from now on! 🙂 I’ve already told Lula – she said she quite likes our cat garden now…. though I think she would try and get in the field if she could! 🙂

  5. Spot, you have made my day. I work with some people who are kind of grumpy. I have found out they are not cat owners!
That would cheer them right up. Happy Caturday tomorrow. I’m looking forward to Zumba tomorrow. Do you and Lula
ever dance around the cat pen?

    1. We kind of dance when we’re chasing each other sometimes, Paula! I’m pleased I helped to cheer you up, those grumpy people should all go out and get a cat or two each, then they will be happier! I hope you enjoy your Zumba! 🙂 xx
