Helping out in the Garden!

Hello my friends, Spot here!

I hope you’ve all had a nice weekend? We’ve been very good kitties this weekend (or at least that’s what we want Santa to think, so I’m not saying otherwise 😆 ) – we’ve even been helping daddy do the gardening! 🙂

Daddy decided that all those autumn leaves need sweeping up and all the other jobs that he’s been putting off, just couldn’t be put off any longer! So he got out the rake and the wheelie bin (trash can on wheels) and was trying to put all the leaves into the bin, but each time he did there were two little spotty Bengals inside! Annie and Spike said they had to inspect he was doing the job correctly! 🙂 So of course they were being helpful, though I heard daddy mumbling something about it “being worse than having kids” under his breath, whatever that means? 😯

Then, the next job was to move a smallish tree. Now that mummy has her new office built, it was in the wrong place, so it needed to be moved. Daddy also thought it would go nicely in our cat garden as it will provide shade for us in the summer. So he dug a hole for the tree and then dug it up from its old place, but when he came to put the tree in its new home, he found he couldn’t! Yup! Those two peskies were checking out his work again! 🙂

Spike decides it’s his hole now! 🙂

In the meantime, Lula and I were keeping a close eye on them because we didn’t want them to jeopardise our chances of a visit from Santa!

Lula is also keeping watch

But after a while, they got bored of the hole and decided the weather was much too chilly, so it was time to go inside in the warm to have a nice catnap 🙂

Time for a catnap!

So that meant it was left to Lula and me to help daddy in the garden instead! Typical kittens – they just can’t commit to doing anything properly! 🙂

Take care my friends!

Love from Spot

  1. What a fun weekend! Annie and Spike will make great helpers when they get older 🙂 You and Lula are more ‘management’ types, making sure everything is running smoothly! 😀 Have a great week, BCW! Love you all!

  2. Kitties are much more helpful than kids, I don’t know what your daddy meant by that remark of his! I love the way Annie gets her game face on when she’s feeling frisky. She’s such a cutie! Spike growing up to be a handsome young chap too. Not to worry Spotty Cat, you will always be my #1 boy <3 xxx

  3. I’ve really enjoyed your blog Spotty cat and love all the photos. Don’t worry about Santa, I’m sure he’ll come to you and Lula and I think he’ll come to all the other kitties including Spike and Annie (even though she climbed the oak tree and Daddy had to get the ladder lol 🙂 ). I think the peskies will be good at helping in the garden as they get older, I seem to remember you have a talent in that direction, something about filling in the holes your Daddy had made (it was slightly unfortunate that you filled them in before the plants were in but I’m sure you meant well!) xx <3 <3

    1. Oooh yes! Spike was doing that today too, Edna (I actually told him how to do it, but don’t tell Santa that!) Spikey also was allowed in the big garden and went into the field! Daddy soon got him back with the dragonfly though 🙂 I had quite forgotten just how naughty he had been today and it wasn’t all my fault 🙂 🙂 xxxxx

  4. Awww you´re keeping your daddy busy I can see. Or actually the small ones is doing that 😯 . Who could´ve thought them that kind of stuff I wonder??? 😉 Happy you are trying to keep kind and lovely now until Santa comes! 😉 Have a lovely day tomorrow also sweet babies! <3

  5. Well done you two for helping daddy (Spot & Lula). Hopefully Santa will pay you a visit for being good kitties. Paws crossed. x

  6. Poor Dad, it was hard enough to get stuff done in the garden with you and Lula helping, but now he even needs more eyes in the back of his head when he has four Supervisors checking out his work. Bet everything takes more time to get done these days. rol on the snowy days when Dad can stay indoors!
