Can you guess why I was standing on this chair?

Hello my friends, Spot here!

What am I waiting for?

Well, there I was – stood on a chair…. my daddy said that chairs are really for sitting on, but because I’m quite a bit smaller than you hoomins, I’m allowed to stand! Otherwise I’d never see over the top! But why was I there in the first place?….. I wonder if you can guess?

You may not be surprised about my answer…. I was playing with yet another of my new toys! This is a fantastic feathery one, which is just as good as my beloved Da Bird feathers!

So there I was waiting and waiting, when finally it came near me, so I grabbed it with my paw!

Gotcha!

But then I dropped it…. so I played with it on the floor instead!

I can play with it on the floor…

….. but it’s not as much fun as when it’s in the air!

But then, when I wasn’t looking, Robbie came along and pulled the main feather out of it! What a naughty Robbie cat! So I decided to hide it, and I pretended to Lula that the new toy was just the bit that Robbie had pulled out!

Lula’s not looking impressed….

Lula said she didn’t know what all the fuss was about and that I could keep the new toy all to myself, she said it was quite boring….. Tee hee! I might try that sort of thing more often! 🙂 Do you think that’s a good plan?

Take care my friends!
Love from Spot xxxxxx

  1. Wonderful toy Spot, I’m afraid my Orion would destroy this like he does all the feather toys we buy them both 🙁 they never last the day out lol

    1. This one is quite robust, Carrie-Anne, it’s made by the same people who make Da Bird…. a few bits have fallen off, but it’s still very playable 🙂 xxx

  2. Awww, Spot, you are really teasing your sister and you are such a clever boy =). At our house it´s Selmin that tears the toys apart, Mirrin just play with it for a while, but he always keeps his eyes on where the movement comes from. So it´s difficult to tease him 😉

    1. Mirrin is a clever boy 🙂 My favourite toys are where my mummy or daddy wiggle the feathers and I have to catch them 🙂 I know they’re doing it, but I love watching the feathers 🙂 xxx

  3. Daddy took more great pictures of you, Spot! You are a clever boy to hide the new toy. Hope Lula doesn’t find out and get mad at you!

    1. Thanks, Carol! I’ve been playing with my toy while Lula’s outside – she doesn’t seem to care if it’s cold or wet, and wants to go out in all weathers! Me? I’m more of a fair-weather cat, so I stay inside and play instead, so Lula is none-the-wiser! Clever, eh? 🙂 xxx
